We provide an enabling environment for children who are naturally curious, investigating, exploring and continuously discovering new things. Their learning occurs through play, and our staff are here to facilitate their learning experiences, supporting them as they develop their critical thinking skills.
At the Palace Day Nursery, we know children learn best through their play, which is why we ensure children are provided with activities that engage and excite them. Staff skilfully interweave learning outcomes into activities using actions, experiences, words and open-ended questions to stretch and challenge children. Natural interest and curiosity is used as a springboard to their development in all areas such as problem solving, memory and the processing of information.

Our Aim is to equip the children in our care with the skills and knowledge they need to explore and understand the world around us. We use the seven areas of Learning and Development within the Early Years Foundation Stage to support this.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which sets standards for the learning, development and care of our children from 3 months to 5 years old. Within the learning and development section of the EYFS there are seven areas of learning and development which we use to shape the educational programmes in our nursery.
